On to Berkeley

No, it is not my plan to head for California. Unfortunately. Berkeley is the name of the next block in the book. It appears to be an original block by Marsha McCloskey as I can find no mention of it in any of my research attempts. It also requires only 3 fabrics and does not appear quite as difficult as Bear's Paw. (Although I must admit that if the block had turned out perfectly straight I might have liked it the Bear's Paw quite a bit. It was, however, pretty tedious to sew.)

I am considering cutting the fabric for two or three blocks at a time - kind of doing all the painful stuff in one fell swoop. On the other hand, I really should be cutting out and sewing together my American Beauty Block of the Month blocks since I only have the first two completed and I should be picking up block six next weekend. AAAAAARGH! Maybe I should cut one of those and put it together on the machine for every 2 blocks I do for this blog. I'll have to give that some thought. Sigh. It would be so responsible of me.

I really need to work on some of this because I have a horrible feeling that once my new Go! dies get here I am going to want to try a Double Wedding Ring or Dresden Plate or two.

I actually took a Baltimore Album class a couple of weeks ago. It was really only one 2.5 hour class so not much got done, but I should also be attempting to improve my needle turn appliqué skills. I love the way it looks but.... I'm such a slacker here. What I really want to do is to go downstairs and work on some hand quilting. Maybe I will.
