Fake Birds in the Air Is Complete!

This is the next to last step in the current block. The last couple steps always go quickly and then I resent not having planned ahead enough to have the next block ready to go.

Below is the final block. I really love the fabric choices in this one. (I think I mentioned that before, didn't I?)

Next up is Blazing Star. I hope to get it cut out tomorrow, but I'm not looking forward to it. Do I ever look forward to cutting? No! But I do think I will like the finished block.

Finally got a chance to read the current Quilter's Newsletter over the last couple of days. The cover quilt is amazing and patterns for the most impressive blocks are there in the magazine. I enjoyed the article on the quilts from South Asia, and then was delighted to see a quilt from India at a friend's house last night. I'm not sure I'll be able to file this one away before trying a couple of the blocks or quilts in this issue. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I do have this project to work on also.

This week I work all five days, 4 hours a day. If I get a chance to get some cutting done, I should be able to do at least a couple of blocks even though I will be talking to a couple of classes and already know of at least one person who will be coming by the office for some help. Maybe I'm wrong, but, just in case, I'm hoping to cut at least two blocks tomorrow.

Have a quilty week!
