I'm back with pictures today! Yes, here are the first steps of the Cat's Cradle block (or Harrison if you want to show respect for two former Presidents of the United States).
The first step was to sew half square triangles together to make squares. This is the one of the medium fabrics sewed to one of the light fabrics.
Now I have sewn the other light triangles to the squares. Yes, the pattern called for a different light fabric for these triangles and, yes, I followed directions - but it is not very different. I really thought it might make some sense to make these triangles all out of the same fabric. But I followed directions like a good girl.
The next few steps shouldn't take very long so maybe I will get finished with this block tomorrow. I did "waste" some time today checking on what kind of things I want to attend if I go to the quilt festival. Paula Nadelstern's lecture is very high on my list. Her quilts are amazing! I don't think I'd ever have the patience to do what she does, but I adore looking at her quilts.
And that is all I have for you today! Quilt on!
